SYN FREE PAN FRIED POTATO CAKES

SYN FREE PAN FRIED POTATO CAKES

Ingredients

  • 4 - 5 x Large White Potatoes (peeled & washed)
  • 1x Chicken/Vegetable Stock Cube
  • Handful of Chopped Parsley (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1x Egg
  • 80g Grated Mozzarella (optional)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • Fry Light


Instructions

  1. Chop the potatoes small and cowl with water. convey to the boil, and add the bird stock dice. prepare dinner till the potatoes are soft.
  2. Drain the water, keeping 50mls to at least one side. Mash, or if you're using a potato ricer as advised above rice the potatoes into a blending bowl.
  3. straight away upload the stock, parsley, salt & pepper, cheese (if using), and egg. fast mix together until clean. the heat of the potatoes will prepare dinner the egg, and it makes the mash very clean and creamy.
  4. Set a large frying pan on the hob over a medium heat, spray with Fry mild and then reduce the heat as soon as the Fry mild is bubbling slightly.
  5. Spoon spherical balls of mashed potato into the frying pan, spaced broadly aside. I used an ice cream scoop to get them the equal length and form! the use of the back of a spoon, sprayed with Fry light, press the potato down into an circle approximately a centimetre to a centimetre and a 1/2 thick.
  6. Neaten up the rims as they prepare dinner, the use of a spatula to press the pinnacle of the potato desserts once in a while to help bind them collectively.
  7. after they have browned on one side, turn and hold cooking till browned on that aspect too. remove from the pan and repeat until the mash is gone.
  8. Serve hot or bloodless with extra parsley to garnish!
